I apologize for the lack of comic. I’m in a royal funk and I need to rebuild my portfolio and get a new job to move in the right direction. Corpse Cloud WILL be back in two weeks, and it WILL be with a with some new characters and stories and MAYBE i’ll be able to update 2 or 3 times in a week.

This one goes out to all the lonley goats out there, don’t eat it because you can.

Welcome everyone who came here because of my new cards or ads, the jump in readership has felt good.

Today I took a look at one of the newspapers and was so glad for the Internet. It’s not just that the web is faster, more diverse, and beautiful, but I don’t have Twilight or Justin Bieber on the front page, and I don’t have a headline story about a seven victim shooting, that is actually about some teens shooting air-soft pellets or bee bees. Oh wait, we got better and worse, but I don’t have to see it if I just want one specific meme. This storm of information isn’t as predictable and can be untrustworthy, but in thunderous strikes we have a greater view than any newspaper could provide.

I’ve been shifting color scheme from page to page. When I was in school and drew with traditional medium, I was intimidated with color and had mixed success. Now the most complicated parts involve hexadecimal not paint mediums. Colors. I draw them over a few days a week so my perception of the story flow is at odds with artistic whims. Does it distract from the flow of the narrative? Or would a book with a gradually shift color scheme be cool?

Another thing I’ve been wondering about, the text captions and word balloons, I’ve started hand drawing them. I started adding the colors instead of having word balloon tails because none of the characters are audibly speaking, but communicating through techlepathy. Now if I wanted to go even more hardcore SciFi, that mode communication would behave in totally different ways than the common tone I’ve been using textually. Would it be more like Internet speak and codes, would they have super fast exchanges of compete experiences? I just wondered about that now. What I should play with is black and white word balloons. I wonder, because of comics seperation of art and idea, does the colored text captions hurt the way it works with the art?

I don’t get enough criticisms, so if I know you by name, what do you think? If I don’t know you, then you can be more blunt.
